The New School's Welcome Center is one of the most critical spaces to admission as it is often the very first touch point of engagement that parents, prospective and enrolled students have with the university and it's brand. As such, I was charged with creating an utility to help initiate these audiences to the neighborhood, student life, and structure of school and it's academic offerings.

Using strategically placed kiosk touch screens in relation to the help desk and print materials, these screens offered a touch-screen optimized presentation and quick access to the most important features of the main school website, personal school email, and integrated links to outside sites listing local extracurricular activities.

This project marked my nascent foray into public space/installation design, initiating a breadth of interactive experiences which would continue and evolve for the remainder of my time at The New School.
